Jung's Psychology and Astrology - a way they fit together?
Attached is a file of a table which is the way I see Jung's Psychology and Astrology fitting together structurally. Any Comments?

Have only read it once and from one read, think it's a succinct correlation. Had a spot of trouble getting my head around some of the brevity eg. :"The Planets
The planets, as they are used in astrological interpretation, form the focii of complexes of inter- action between aspects of the personality that they represent and other factors indicated by other planets. Each planet is a focal point for life issues which it represents and how they will affected by other influences."
In other words, it may be obvious to you as you know these matters inside out, but would it be possible to expand some of them a bit or would that negate the purpose ?

Will get back to you as I am cooking dinner, but I take your point. I have made a general correlation but and example or two would elucidate it.

Re: Jung's Psychology and Astrology - a way they fit together?
This, as you quoted is what I said in the table:
"The planets, as they are used in astrological interpretation, form the focii of complexes of inter- action between aspects of the personality that they represent and other factors indicated by other planets. Each planet is a focal point for life issues which it represents and how they will affected by other influences."
So here's an example. Lets look at Venus, what does it represent as a focus of interaction within the personality? From a Jungian point of view it relates to the archetype of the beloved in all of its forms; so, erotic love, intimate friendship and all forms of intimate relatedness - and that's a fair summary of what it means astrologically too. Now obviously these things are not expressed in the same way by everyone, nor do they mean the same or carry the same weight. From an Astrological point of view we would say immediately that this is because no planet is an island (apologies to John Donne), it is in a state of interaction with other planets (usually) and points in the chart. It can also of course be in different signs and houses. Those other planetary and general astrological influences have their correlate in psychological terms as the way in which any one archetype is also influence in the personality by other archetypes. This is observable in an empirical way and astrology gives us a schematic and structured way in which to explore and express that fact.-
Countless examples are possible.

YES !!! That was much easier to understand. Described the 'focii of complexes' so that they are more easily applicable.

Good, of course the general is always somewhat abstract and benefits from examples to give it a more "real" flavour. We could spend endless hours exploring such examples and it would be instructive but probably better left to when the need or interest compels it.

Yes, I thought when I saw the expansion that, not only would it take massive amount of work, but it would no longer be a 'Table'.
