10.54 AM seems to be in agreement according to answers given and this
puts the rising degree in Taurus 29.47. In My humble opinion its a Taurus Lagna.

The horoscope suggests that there is an interest in the subject at a superficial
level.

Thanks Pem :)
Now instead of learning Astrology I will have to solve that problem, whether I am a Gemini or Taurus (can this be the Barnum effect...just kidding)
So I thought Jupiter in Scorpio is the reason for my interests in supernatural stuff.

In case if I am Taurus will it be better for learning Astrology than the previous chart with Gemini as the Ascendant?
And by the way (this should come in a different thread), I have heard if there is no planet in 1st house that person's chart can be taken as the Moon chart (Moon placement as the Ascendant) Is that correct?

The true ascendant is more revealing but, some astrologers use the Moon as Asc when
the true Asc is weak. They also look at it from Sun Sign as Asc which is called the
Sudharsan Technique, using all three Lagnas.
I get more secrets from the true Rising Sign and that makes each
of each unique. It has worked well for my needs provided Correct Birth time is known.

Nadi Astrologers when reading usually emphasize the Lagna, e.g. Mithuna or Vrishaba and
not heard them giving the precise time of birth on their CD recordings. You may check this
out and get to know your Lagna.

Thanks again,
Nadi astrologers said it as Mithuna.
So how do they say the names of family members? are they really written on those 'palm leaves'?

If it was said by Nadi, then they are correct; as all details are written on the ola type leaf.
Mother and father name, wife name, they give first marriage and second names etc; they
are so good. But they never give the time of birth ? only the Lagna.

I need to confirm for my research:
You said you were light weight at birth; were you a prematurely born child ?

Just light weight as far as I know. Not premature (I will verify it soon).
As per the wife's name they told many names, there was a one which was closer to wife's name. I wasn't married at that time.
As you said they didn't mention the time of the birth. Just the lagna after I gave the birth date.

Calculating the chart is not a hard thing right, when the date and the lagna is known? they asked me the lagna indirectly before predicting anything .
What amazed me were the details they said. Even about the future events, which were accurate except for few things.
They said the future can be changed as well.
Just a kind reminder (So coming back to the original question) "can I understand astrology?" :D

A good Nadi Reader does not ask for the Lagna. That is their job to give you that info
based on your Thumb ink impression; then pull out the record; or give you another date
to present yourself when that particular record is in their files to give you the reading.

Yes, with names: they most of the time give their second name. it will be on the recording.
