Supermoons

Post by admin »

‘Supermoons’ are surely very impressive to view and occur when the Moon is at it’s closest point (perigee) to the earth in its orbit.

This particular Supermoon (18/19/20 Feb.) occurs in the 1st degree of Virgo, opposite the Sun in the 1st Degree of Pisces (0 degs. 42’ to be precise). Anyone with the natal Sun, Moon or a planet in that degree will likely feel it quite strongly and especially in matters of the House in which it occurs.

But it’s not my intention here to interpret these as there are many astrological views of its meaning available online. Rather, I wanted to add this link from ‘Space.com’ as I was intrigued by a reference to the astrologer who first gave it the name of ‘Supermoon’: https://www.space.com/supermoon-syndrom ... 190218-sdc (Note their comment: “Even some ‘reputable astronomy sites’ endorse this definition.”).
