Central solar eclipses on Easter Island are very rare. Remarkably, there was a total on Jul. 11, 2010, just over 14 years ago, but before that, it was 1788. The next one is in 2324.

Has anyone else noticed that in the middle of this eclipse, when the Sun and Moon were at 10° ♎ 05', Makemake was at 10° ♎ 17'?

Wow!

Makemake in the Rapa Nui mythology of Easter Island is the creator of humanity, the god of fertility and the chief god of the "Tangata manu" or bird-man sect.
