Is it worth it?

This guy and I met seven months ago and were friends with benefits. Things were rocky between us and we stopped talking in January. I mistreated him due to previous trauma and because of my insecurities. Recently I started Therapy last month and am working on my issues. But I miss this person and I want us to reconcile but so far they will not talk to me. Even though we were only friends with benefits this person was like family to me. Is it worth me trying to reconcile with this person?
