Severe mental stress

I've been facing a lot of mental tension for past couple years. Nothing is going right in my life. I've lost interest in studies, don't have any social life, friends/girlfriends, strained relationship with my father and the worst part is my family refuses to acknowledge my sufferings. I'm dealing with all these on my own. I've also started to smoke cigarettes to find escape. I've lost all my hopes regarding a better future and contemplating suicide for past few days. Can anyone give an insight on why I'm undergoing such problems?
