Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone had any guides or suggestions in measuring parallaxs' to a star. I thought it would be cool to choose an easy star take a picture. wait several months then take a picture of the same star( What would be an easy way to remember the star I chose) Measure angles then find out how many AU it could be. Or is AU even the correct term?
I read about this in astronomy at college, and wanted to know more about the process and procedure.

Hi jaden1592,
Just type into your search engine: http://lcogt.net/spacebook/parallax-and ... easurement ... at least to start. There are many many other sites, so just use the same or similar words.
e.g www.astronomy.com (which has many links).
Just choose your specific question and as you go along, refine it ...Well that'll be fun !
Best to you on your search,
