Hi tinkora,

Just to check, are you asking for a Western or a Vedic interpretation? If you're looking for a Vedic interpretation, there's a separate section on the forum for that (the third box down).

Looking at your chart, I can see there are three major transits that are likely to be affecting your career.

Uranus, the planet that rules your Midheaven and thus your 10th House (the house of career and public reputation), is making a square to your Sun/Mars and later Uranus will make a square to your Midheaven itself. This transit will continue until May 2021.

Transiting Neptune is making a square to your Venus/Neptune conjunction. In your chart, Venus rules both your 1st House, the house of the self, representing the way you see the world and how others see you at first, and your 6th House which is the house of work and your daily routine – this is different from the 10th House, however, because the 10th House is more about how your career relates to the outside world whereas the 6th House is more about the personal meaning of your everyday work. Neptune will leave its square to your natal Venus/Neptune conjunction in March 2021.

Saturn, which isn’t touching your chart right now, will come to make a conjunction to your Mercury from February 2020 and will then come to make a conjunction to your Sun/Mars from January to February 2021, then will leave its conjunction to your Midheaven in March 2021. So as you can see, with all these transits going on, you’ll likely have a lot of instability in your career until the middle of 2021.

Now as to why you’re facing challenges at work. These are the transits that are occurring, but to explain what each of them means.

The Uranus square to your Sun/Mars might be giving you an urge to rebel which may be holding back your career development – but it’s just as possible that it might be failure to act on that urge which could hold you back. Particularly with Uranus transiting your 12th House, you might feel a lot of your urges and desires are unconsciously repressed. You might find yourself struggling to balance your sense of purpose and direction in life on the one hand and your need for freedom and independence on the other. You might also find yourself bursting at random intervals with a newfound passion and energy that you didn’t know you had. You might feel a strong need to express your own individuality and perhaps unconventionality in your career, perhaps to the point of restlessness and impatience. You might be hard to please at the moment, frustrated with progress that seems too slow and having to wait around for changes you want to see right now. There can be a lot of unexpected changes and surprises happening now that might throw you off balance. Try to slow down when you can and find some routine you can stick to so you can anchor yourself to some sense of stability.

Neptune squaring your Venus/Neptune can make you more sensitive to people, relationships and to social situations during this time. In terms of your career, this might be more noticeable with colleagues, as the 6th House which your Venus rules also represents the details of your working environment, which of course includes the people you work alongside. You might be more easily misled during this time and more susceptible to viewing people and situations with rose-tinted glasses, only seeing what you want to see rather than what is, at times. You might need to be wary of glossing over important details and practical concerns because it’s possible you’ll have a tendency now to favour idealistic visions and perceptions at work. It might be tempting to resign yourself to carelessness and perhaps even laziness at times when you’re feeling a bit beaten down. You might find you’re a bit more likely to let finances slip. Whilst you should open your heart to new possibilities, make sure to keep your wits about you. Common sense is all that’s needed, and as long as you don’t let yourself get carried away with any flights of fancy, you don’t need to let yourself be deceived or taken advantage of. You might feel a yearning to escape from the constraints of your ordinary life and it’s possible you might attract people and situations into your life that offer a bit more glamour – you just need to be a bit careful if and when these things happen. Make sure you’re aware of all the details of what’s going on around you – it’s probably best to exercise caution every now and then. This Neptune transit happening in your 11th House makes it look very likely that this could involve larger groups of people and organisations. You may need to learn to set boundaries with friends and the demands of others, or of ‘society at large’. You might come up against considerable peer pressure to one end or another and you might feel confused by it. Perhaps certain people and situations will force you to consider your loyalty to larger groups of people, for example the company you work for. If the company you work for isn’t in line with your own ideals, you might want to find somewhere that does suit you better – or perhaps if that isn’t the case, maybe you’ll come up against colleagues or other organisations you’re involved with that disagree with you on some important level. Perhaps you’ll feel confused as to where you belong, and the lesson of this transit might be to find your unique place in the world.

None of this is certain, of course, and anything I say might very well turn out to be wrong, so just take my advice with a pinch of salt and test it against what you know to be true in your own life.

Onto the Saturn transits, which are yet to come. Saturn will first meet your Mercury in February 2020. You may find that from then, your thoughts become more serious. You might start to doubt any ideas you had or projects you were working on before then. One of the common lessons of this transit is to simplify your tasks in life and also to improve how you communicate, perhaps to make yourself understood more clearly by others. You might become averse to more superficial interactions with others, seeing them as a waste of your time which you’re more likely to see as valuable and scarce. You aren’t going to put up with any distractions during this period and you might become less available to others as a result. They might notice you becoming a bit more withdrawn, but as far as you’re concerned, that’ll be more than necessary. If you end up needing to re-evaluate your recent actions in life, especially in your career, you’ll likely be pouring a great deal of time and effort into managing whatever you’re working on so you can get the best result by the end of it. It might not be the best time to present new ideas and findings to others as you might find them less supportive than usual. Saturn transits often force you to find your own inner strengths and depend only on your own determination to succeed. You might find you need to leave behind some ideas and projects so you can focus on those that truly matter to you and you’ll likely finish the transit with a more matured, balanced and realistic way of thinking. Saturn transiting your 9th House here might also force you to review your ideals and spiritual goals – maybe you’ll find that what you believed before is no longer relevant to your reality. You may have to consider whether or not what you’re working towards really matches up with your beliefs and goals in life, and you may struggle to believe in yourself, but if you’re going to succeed then that’s precisely what you’ll have to do .

When Saturn comes to conjunct your Sun/Mars, similar themes will likely continue. The goals you have set yourself in life are likely to be tested against reality and you might have to make some major adjustments as a result. You’ll be forced to inspect and examine every aspect of your life, and yourself, to figure out what really works for you and where you really need to go in life. For you, with Saturn also being so close to your Midheaven at this time, your career will be under the spotlight and may come under a lot of scrutiny – not just from others but from yourself. This could make you feel very exposed and uncomfortable if you feel by then that you’ve been holding onto a false image of yourself or throwing your efforts behind the wrong things in life. You’ll probably feel like you have less energy during this time – you might be very tired and worn out and feel like all the burdens of the world are on your shoulders. The lesson here can be to conserve your efforts for what matters the most to you, rather than wasting your time on things that don’t bring you much benefit in the end. You might feel alone and unsupported in your endeavours and you might be very self-critical, assessing your achievements so far and trying to figure out how you can move forward. If you push yourself too hard, however, it’s possible you’ll encounter a lot of pushback and resistance to your efforts to advance yourself, particularly in your career. You might be forced to learn self-restraint, because you might find yourself in a situation that permits you much less freedom than you desire and you might become much more restricted for a while. It will take a lot of patience, but you should emerge from this transit with a stronger sense of purpose and more solid foundations in life from which to build a vision of success that really works for you. The time will come (probably by mid-2021) when most of the restrictions you face during these Saturn transits will start to fade away and then you’ll be freer to act, hopefully having prepared yourself for such an occasion.

I hope you find my words helpful, and of course it will probably be a while before all your career problems are resolved (I'm sure it will certainly feel like a while!), but be sure to come back if you have any more questions.

Best wishes,
Joe.

Thanks for the detailed analysis Joe.

A few more questions:

A) is there a risk of losing job?

B) Could there be a change in job?

C) Could there be a possibility of a move to a different country and whether that could improve the situation?

Regards

I would say for the first two questions that, yes, there is a risk of losing and/or changing your job, but it would almost certainly be as a result of your own decisions. You’re likely to be wanting to break free from constricting routines as well as re-evaluating what matters to you in your career so I wouldn’t be surprised if you had a change of job in the next couple of years. In fact, I’d be more surprised if you didn’t change your job. As for moving abroad, it’s possible with all your planets in the 9th House and Saturn transiting your 9th House, but that’s all up to you of course.
