This is a welcome to all who know about this area of astrology, and hoping that you can assist others who need help with regard to their charts.

Please Note: This area is NOT for 'pay' advertisements of a website! It is wholly for freely given assistance.

However, rajshekhar is assisting here, and I HIGHLY recommend his site for those who need Vedic Astrology assistance: http://www.birthchartastrology.com/

Best,
Admin.

For those further interested in this subject, there are many videos about this, for e.g.: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYFslM2E8sI

This leads to many others.

(NB: If you find one that leads you to 'Jenna', I recommend that you go no further. I have friends who have ended up receiving endless e-mails and always asking for more monies.)

Further to this, an interesting site where 'Vedic Astrology' and 'Western Astrology' are discussed: http://rofx.net/arts-and-entertainment/ ... astrology/

Excerpt: " The Argument for the Tropical Zodiac Within Vedic Astrology

I am a Vedic Astrologer and I use the Tropical Zodiac. To many this is very close to sacrilege and a contradiction in terms. This novel way of delineating the horoscope is gaining momentum and validity within the Hindu Astrological community. I am writing this article with the purpose of giving valid and logical reasons why the Tropical Zodiac of Rasis (Signs) is to be used instead of the Sidereal Zodiac of Rasis. “Of Rasis” is stated because it is quite clear that the Sidereal Zodiac is to be used when delineating Nakshatras..."

(For more - and it's very interesting, I think - go to the site shown above).

Would appreciate any responses.

Thankyou.

Hi robertmedina,
As you must be able to see from many of the posts and responses on this Forum, 'Western Astrology' is no less 'commercial' than any other style or type of astrology, as any astrologer anywhere can 'commercialise' the matter.

Please understand that this Forum is for open-minded and fair discussion on all topics and areas, not for dogmatic and argumentative 'full stop' statements that either attempt to end a topic, or result in more of the same responses ...which lead nowhere other than eventually devolving into personal insults. There are many other astrology forums where you can give 'vent' to these types of feelings.

Thanks.

hi everone

please read these article in vedic hindu astrology

Hindu Astrology

Firstly, we have the divisional chart system, called the Varga system. Based on the planetary degrees at the time of birth, sixteen divisional charts are prepared, by dividing the degrees of the planets. These divisional charts are studied to ascertain the strength and weakness of planets and houses and also to study various aspects of ones life. For example, one-ninth division called Navamsa to study spouse and married life, one-tenth division to study profession, one-seventh for children and so on. The last Varga, called Shodashamsa, is prepared by dividing the planet’s degrees in to one-sixtieth part! Second is the dasa system. Based on ones moons degrees at birth, we calculate the Dasas, or the ruling periods of various planets, which keeps changing during ones life. It is not just one planets dasa but Maha dasa, or main dasa, of a planet, Antardasa, or sub period, of another planet and so on till we arrive at a fifth level dasa to study each day. Third is the Gochara, or transit of planets.

Planets transiting various houses produce various results. But a planet transits a sign for quite some time. For example Saturn transits a sign for two and half years. During this entire period its results cannot be totally good or bad. Vedic astrology further pinpoints its good and bad periods even during its transit in one sign. We have the Asthakavarga and Prastharasthakavarga system, which divides a planets transit in a sign into eight parts and shows which part is good and which part is bad.

Lastly, The main factors affecting the horoscope of any individual are date of birth, place of birth and exact time of birth. According to Hindu astrology all heavenly bodies, whether it’s the sun, the moon, the planets or stars, influence the terrestrial phenomena, or indicate such phenomena by their various configurations. The variations in their constitution determine the variations in the events on the earth as the correlation between the two is very strong. With the help of Vedic astrology, one can make the birth chart made suitable gem stones as per your characteristics & the analysis of general events in life such as education. career, source of earning, family life health etc.

Why Hindu Astrology ?

Whole world believe and trust on of Hindu astrology

1. Hindu astrology is the oldest system of astrology .

2. Hindu astrology also differs considerably from the Chinese horoscope.

3. Hindu astrology is highly authentic and its predictions are believed to be the most accurate in the world.

Origin of Indian Astrology

Hindu astrology is Vedic in origin and has been part of Hindu teachings for thousands of years and that dates back to 1st and 2nd century BCE. The religious compilations known as Vedas have six supplementary appendixes known as the Vedangas, limbs of the Vedas. Of these the Jyotish Vedanga forms the foundations of Indian Astrology. From India, Vedic astrology spread westward to the Persians and the Babylonians, and from them to the Greeks and Romans. As a result of the Islamic conquest Arabs gained access to astrology from both the Greek Hellenistic astrologers on one side (the West) and Vedic astrology from India on the other side (the East).

hi! would someone easily be able to give me a brief Vedic outline or something?
I am not even really sure what it is, but I thought it was just like, using your Moon as your primary influence rather than the Sun.. well see I just went to a site very briefly and wanted to see what it'd quickly say about me, but it said that my Moon was in Libra, which is what I used to think but then learned that it was in Scorpio.. some sites still say Libra but I'm pretty sure it's in Scorpio as when I discovered that it almost came as an epiphany.. Well, I mean I stumbled upon a site or book that said Scorpio, not Libra.. and since then I assumed it is Scorpio. (My Sun is in Libra) also lol whatever the silly site I used said was not something I wanted to hear haha about my Vedic astrology.. but I figured it wasn't right anyways since it said Libra and not Scorpio. well hehe if someone could clarify this for me or let me know what they see at first glance of my Vedic makeup.
thanks, a very helpful and sweet site and Admin = )

Hi Sapphire,
The 'simplest' and, possibly the (most basic ?) 'explanation' is that Vedic Astrology uses the 'Sidereal Zodiac'. ie. where the planets are in the actual Constellations , which (I think) is, currently, about 23 degs. earlier than the 'Western' Astrology system, (hence, your Moon moves into Libra). Western Astrology uses the Tropical Zodiac (1st deg. Aries is always on 21st March every year).

There is SO much more of course. It is a very rich (and complex) system.

Hope Raj will correct me, and assist you.
