How would a man with Scorpio sun and Sag Venus be in love?

They are both such different signs, Scorpio is so committed and Sag not so much. I'm trying to figure this guy out. I am a sun Virgo with a Scorpio Venus and know that sag and Scorpio aren't that compatible, but I'm hoping his sun will bring more seriousness.

He also has a cancer moon, Scorpio mercury, and sag mars if that helps as well.
