Day and night asteroids
I read this article by Edwin Rose about day and night rulerships and thought the idea could be expanded.
http://www.guidingstar.com/Articles/Rulerships.html
The planets ruling the various signs ought to include most, if not all, of the Olympian gods. As it stands they exclude a number of the female deities. This problem can be solved by giving rulership to the first four asteroids discovered. In addition, metals can be assigned to them from the earliest known as well. Also, the elements and their properties can be assigned colors which can then be applied to the planets. The 'normal' planets seem to take the color of their night rulership element while the giant planets look like their day. The asteroids seem to be a mixture of both.
Here is what I propose:
Day rulership
Sign Planet
Leo Sun
Virgo Mercury
Libra Venus
Scorpio Mars
Sagittarius Jupiter
Capricorn Saturn
Aquarius Uranus
Pisces Neptune
Aries Juno
Taurus Pallas
Gemini Ceres
Cancer Vesta
Night rulership
Sign Planet
Leo Vesta
Virgo Ceres
Libra Pallas
Scorpio Juno
Sagittarius Neptune
Capricorn Uranus
Aquarius Saturn
Pisces Jupiter
Aries Mars
Taurus Venus
Gemini Mercury
Cancer Moon
Planet Metal
Vesta Zinc
Ceres Platinum
Pallas Cobalt
Juno Nickel
Neptune Bismuth
Uranus Antinomy
Saturn Lead
Jupiter Tin
Mars Iron
Venus Copper
Mercury Mercury
Moon Silver
Element Color
Earth Yellow, Lime
Water Green, Aqua
Air Blue, Purple
Fire Red, Orange
Could there be something to this?

Hi James,
Welcome and thankyou for this extremely interesting proposition !
I for one, will certainly study and think on this matter further.
Best,

Re: Day and night asteroids
I ought to add that for numerological puroses Juno=2 or 11, Pallas=3 or 12, Ceres=0, and Vesta=1 or 10.

Hi James,
May I ask how you arrived at these numerological associations with the asteroids?

Re: Day and night asteroids
Two things were considered. The asteroids should have their own numbers as they rule their own signs. And each of the seven day/night planet combinations should have a unique total; Virgo should not equal Scorpio, for instance. Only one combination worked so there wasn't even a choice to be made.
Cancer (Moon+Vesta)=2+1=3
Leo (Sun+Vesta)=1+1=2
Virgo (Mercury+Ceres)=5+0=5
Libra (Venus+Pallas)=6+3=9
Scorpio (Mars+Juno)=4+2=6
Sagittarius (Jupiter+Neptune)=3+7=10=1
Capricorn (Saturn+Uranus)=8+9=17=8
This leaves 4 and 7. If, for some reason, Juno and Ceres or Vesta and Pallas switched numbers then we would have them too.
Cancer (Moon+Vesta)=2+1=3
Leo (Sun+Vesta)=1+1=2
Virgo (Mercury+Ceres)=5+0=5
Libra (Venus+Pallas)=6+3=9
Scorpio (Mars+Juno)=4+2=6
Sagittarius (Jupiter+Neptune)=3+7=10=1
Capricorn (Saturn+Uranus)=8+9=17=8
This leaves 4 and 7. If, for some reason, Juno and Ceres or Vesta and Pallas switched numbers then we would have them too.

Re: Day and night asteroids
For those who wish to know of the Centaurs and Pluto:
Chiron=10 or 1.
Pholus=11 or 2.
Nessus=12 or 3.
Pluto=0.
Cancer (Moon+Chiron)=2+1=3.
Leo (Sun+Chiron)=1+1=2.
Virgo (Mercury+Pholus)=5+2=7.
Libra (Venus+Nessus)=6+3=9.
Scorpio (Mars+Pluto)=4+0=4.
Sagittarius (Jupiter+Neptune)=3+7=10=1.
Capricorn (Saturn+Uranus)=8+9=17=8.
Chiron=10 or 1.
Pholus=11 or 2.
Nessus=12 or 3.
Pluto=0.
Cancer (Moon+Chiron)=2+1=3.
Leo (Sun+Chiron)=1+1=2.
Virgo (Mercury+Pholus)=5+2=7.
Libra (Venus+Nessus)=6+3=9.
Scorpio (Mars+Pluto)=4+0=4.
Sagittarius (Jupiter+Neptune)=3+7=10=1.
Capricorn (Saturn+Uranus)=8+9=17=8.
Re: Day and night asteroids
Given these Numbers, how would you describe or interpret them?

Re: Day and night asteroids
Chiron, as King of the Centaurs, is a 10 and 1, representing the loneliness of leadership. His intelligence shows in this as well. Pholus, an 11, represents a new beginning. When it was discovered there soon followed a slew of new ones, both centaurs and plutoids. Also unity. Its orbit just meets that of Saturn and Neptune, perhaps bringing them together. Its red colour may indicate bravery. And, finally, Nessus. This brings us to the end of the 'big three' centaurs and along with its number, 12, signal completeness. Its wide ranging orbit suggests a broader outlook.
The Centaurs were known for their beastly nature and tendency for going mad. The chemical elements associated with them seem appropiate; silicon and oxygen with Chiron, sulfur and phosphorus with Pholus, nitrogen and, above all, arsenic with Nessus. They were both male (arsenic means male) and died from poisoning. Nessus got his revenge by poisoning Heracles.
