Are Dashas affected by moon placement?

Post by vediclearner »

Can a native's moon placement change the general results of a dasha? For example:

For a Gemini Ascendant, Mars dasha will tend to give negative results- but will it be the same for a Gemini Acendant with their Moon in Scorpio/Aries? Since their moon makes their home in the house of mars, will the results of the dasha not feel as bad for the native as they are probably used to the mars energy?

Another example: Libra Lagna tends to not do well during Jupiter dasha, but is it still so for the Libra lagna who has their moon in Pisces/Saggitarius?

Since some people also measure results from Chandra lagna I wonder about this.

Lagna (Ascendant), Moon and Sun are usually called the tripod of the horoscope.
Lagna operates on the physical plane while Moon operates on mental plane.

So, Moon's placement from Lagna can show, how much one is happy, mentally. Usually Moon in 6,8,12 from Lagna are attributed to sorrowful nature (discontentment). Personally I felt Moon in 6th is a little different from the above, which strives to achieve something being discontented. In other words, unless a native feels what is existing is not enough, he cannot achieve further. For sure, this makes the native little sorrowful. But if Moon's dispositor is favorably placed, the sorrow is limited. However, if moon is debilitated and placed in 6th, there is highly worrisome nature.

Moon's position from other planets can show how one would feel during the dasa.

I would like to extend one correction though, For Gemini ascendants, not always Mars dasa is bad - depends largely on placement. It is generally opined that natural malefics are better placed in 6,8,12 etc for a materialistic life. For Libra ascendants with Moon in Pisces, Jupiter dasa does not come in their life or will end before they are 5 years old.

If we take Moon in Taurus in case of Libra Ascendants, Jupiter has done generally good when it is not placed in dusthanas along with malefics.

This a generic understanding, however a lot can change over the placement of all the planets in different divisional charts.

Dear vediclearner

A chart must be seen in totality. Placement of Moon definitely has a say in the life of the person as placement of Moon determine the sequence of Vimshottari dasha.

Further, the PACE (Placement Aspect and Conjunction Exchange) connections alter the results a lot.

God bless you
