I'm just curious.
If someone experiences something during Sun bhuktis for example does this always mean that the Sun Mahadasha will give the same result only elongated? Or are the results sometimes entirely different between the antardasha and the mahadasha
Does Mahadasha result sometimes differ from bhukti results?

Re: Does Mahadasha result sometimes differ from bhukti results?
Most times the results are very different.
Maha dasa holds the key, while antardasa lords relationship with lagna and maha dasa lord will play a role.
Some astrologers opine that Maha dasa lord shall be taken as lagna and the bhukti lords will give results based on ownership and placement from this lagna. Also the relationships (temporary and permanent both) it is making with the maha dasa lord.
If the planet (antardasa lord) is very near to the cusp of ascendant (in degrees) then the results in bhuktis can be lot similar, irrespective of maha dasa lord. In this, natural malefics tend to behave this way but benefics are largely dependant on Mahadasa lord.
But it is good to use another system of dasa, preferably rasi based dasa along with Vimsottari. Merely depending on Vimsottari can give erratic results.

Srikanth.

I use Narayana, Kalachakra, etc..
Any Rasi dasa is always better along with Vimsottari.
