**DA WAS NEITHER ACADEMIC NOR PROFESSIONAL**

Education is usually seen from the desire of the 4H which does not have
a dynamic configuration although it has good aspect from Jupiter in the 10H.
Significators should be taken into consideration which are Mercury and the
Moon. They do not seem to be so great in the chart. Mercury is placed in the
12H and Moon owning 8H and weak. However DA had the blessing of the 5H
which gave me a good sense of logic and intellect and its lord placed in the
9H of higher thought, coupled with wisdom and intelligence of the significator
of the 5H & 9H, Jupiter. The 5H is said to give good business acumen.
I understand DA completed Primary School in his local village school and then
progressed to secondary where at the end of the year achieved a matriculation
level. The 4H significators did not seem to have given him that desire to study.
It is said that he never went to College.

**MERCURY WAS NOT DA'S FRIEND**

Mercury for this chart with Sagittarius Ascendant is a functional Malefic.
As Mercury could not totally protect the significations of the 7H and 10H,
DA was very lucky to have a strong Jupiter which sat in the 10H and also
protected its 7H of marriage/partnership. These are all added blessings
in disguise in this birth chart of DA.

**SATURN ALSO WAS NOT DA'S FRIEND**

Saturn owning a neutral 2H and a malefic 3H confirmed that DA will
not have a smooth ride in his life's journey through the Saturn Mahadasa.
The 2H is also considered as the Marakasthana. Saturn is the karaka for
health/disease, longevity, etc. The other Marakasthana - the 7H - is owned
by Saturn's group friend Mercury. Saturn is a natural malefic and Mercury is
a functional malefic for this chart.

**DA WAS THE FAVOURITE CHILD**

It is said that DA was the favourite child of the parents despite his demanding
and difficult ways. He was the third of five children. Both the Sun and Moon,
representing father and mother, are happily placed in DA s 1H which shows their
closeness to him, and more of the preoccupied nature of the mother concerning him.

**DA HAD TO LEAVE HOME AT THE AGE OF SIXTEEN**

At the age of sixteen without concentrating on his education, DA left to Aden in Yemen at
the request of his father in order to work and help support the family. In India leaving the home
to go to another country - away from home - was and is probably considered an
unhappy event when loved ones have to break away from the fold. Nowadays, it may be thought
differently, with probably changing times and values.
This happened sometime around 1948 in the Moon/Rahu planetary period. DA returned home after
10 years in the Mars/Jupiter period and was able to start on his first business project with I.Rs15,000.00
which he saved up in addition to sending money home.
There is always a price to pay in the malefic Rahu period either in the form of sacrifice, hardship, or hidden
or open health/disease problems of some sort, which is confirmed by reknowned authorities.
It is common knowledge that Rahu and also Ketu, known as functional malefics, do well in the 3H, 6H, 10H
& 11H - which are the Upachaya Houses. Here the native projects oneself, has good power of resistance,
will go out of their way to achieve their purpose of life and possess a strong desire to gain in areas of the 11H
affairs, respectively.
It is to be noted that functional malefic Rahu works best when left in total isolation and he is always dependent
on other supporting strong and favourable planets in one's chart.

**FUNCTIONAL MALEFIC RAHU IS WELCOMED IN DA'S CHART**

All planets have their friends and welcome them in their respective signs. This does not necessarily
mean that Rahu is functional benefic in friends' signs. Rahu does play havoc in friends' signs and
more havoc in unfriendly signs. The friends of Rahu are : Saturn, Venus and Mercury.
In DA's chart Rahu is welcomed in Aquarius and even more welcome since it is a Upachaya 3H where
malefics/functional malefics are welcome.
The other signs where functional malefic Rahu is welcome are : Capricorn, Taurus, Libra,
Gemini and Virgo. And, if these signs happen to fall in the 3H, 6H, 10H & 11H (Upachaya Houses)
then Rahu seems to be more welcome, but by no means can Rahu be called a 'functional benefic'.
It is said that Rahu has no sense of logic nor reasoning ability.

**VENUS TOO WAS NOT FRIEND OF DA'S CHART**

Venus joins her mutual friends Mercury and Saturn as usual. She own 6H and 11H -
ruled by Taurus and Libra. Venus is a functional malefic for this Ascendant.
Venus is positioned in dusthana 12H with her friend Mercury and this house
seems favourable to Venus. Venus is aspected by powerful functional benefic -
Mars - Lord of a Trine and also placed in a Trine. This should have had a good
influence on Venus from passionate Mars.

**VENUS IS ADDITIONAL SIGNIFICATOR FOR HEALTH**

Usually Saturn is the natural significator for health/disease.
In this Chart of DA, Venus is lord of the 6H Taurus and also owns
the 6th from the 6th which is the 11H Libra. According to the
dictum of bhavat bhavam 6th to the 6th also refers to health matters
making Venus a class significator for this chart. Venus is the prime
significator for marriage, love, happiness, harmony etc.

DA's Main Chart Rising Degree - 1.36 degrees in Dhanu

This is the Most Effective Point in this chart. Júpiter is roundabout
this strongest point in the chart and has had a special effect being
well placed in the 10H of Career/Life Purpose. Usually it is interpreted as a weak
planet - in infancy - but this degree is significant for this chart and
seems to be the main benefic planet that gave him tremendous success
in most áreas in his life. Jupiter's placement from this strongest point (MEP) of
the Chart had a positive effect on all the houses it aspected as well as its kendra
aspect; and also where it is located.
