Re: Genes blamed for lack of humour
This is interesting in how it relates to astrology. However, I think that planets like the Moon, or any planet retrograde can describe our environment. So this article does not disprove astrology.

Re: astrology and tarot
I have done Tarot with astrology too, but unfortunately I'm not as good at it as astrology. I do think there are correspondences, though. and also with numerology.
Re: Transits
Well done, Big Raven, but no knight in shining armour has yet arrived on the scene dressed in Plutonian black or not! Actually I am not too sure what I would do with one if it did. Worse still is Uranus conj. my Natal Moon in Pisces in the 9th. Moon is Grand Trine Sun and Mercury in 5th and Natal Ur...
Transits
Must we? Do I really need to know that Pluto is transiting my 7th, etc.? You know, sometimes I would rather not know!

Re: THe Houses

Re: Quincunxes (Inconjuncts)
Queen of the inconjuncts is back again, and, yes. I agree with you, Big Raven that they are totally out of reach of one;s 'normal' personality. This is because, apart from the sextile, they are the only aspect that tries to tie up signs and houses that have absolutly nothing in common. Like air and ...

Re: Quincunxes (Inconjuncts)
Agree with you that these are very difficult aspects to try and define. It feels like they come from 'out of the blue'. The kind of aspects that make you say 'What was that?'. If we go back to the Yod formation we can see that 2 planets are acting in collusion (sextile) against the inconjunct planet...

Re: Retrograde Mercury
Has anybody actually tried to sit exams while Mercury was Retrograde in their 12th House?

Roman Astrology
The first (and arguably) the greatest Roman Emperor, Augustus, supposedly published his natal chart (Suet. Aug. 94.12). We no longer have access to this chart. However, according to the Julian Calendar, he was born just before dawn at the Equinox on the 22nd of the 9th Month, 63BC. Jupiter was suppo...

Egyptian Astrology
The Ancient Egyptians gave us a breakdown of time into 24 hours of solar time, the concept of hours and the break-up of time into night/day, month, year. Dendera shows an astrological ceiling as does the tomb of Seti I of the New Kingdom's 19th Dynasty. We know that Ptolemy gave us the foundation of...
