Re: The Moon's Nodes (Real) - In Brief

it too (the North Node) can result in an 'over-emphasis' at times. There is a 'gift' in both Nodes: from the S. Node there are 'skills' and knowledge too, to use in the journey to consciousness of the soul's needs to 'evolve and grow' - the N. Node. But, there is also a 'danger' of ignoring/turning...

ASTROLOGY - a tool for psychological and spiritual growth.

These are my views on astrology as someone who came to it from a psychological perspective, primarily informed by the work of C G Jung. Astrology is primarily psychological, which is to do with the soul or psyche. It is an inner, intuitive discipline rather than a science in the modern sense. The pe...

Re: The Moon's Nodes (Real) - In Brief

Glad this was helpful, Jane, I find the Nodes most illuminating and from years of experience see them as pivotal to a deeper understanding of oneself and the natal horoscope. Also often very important when being transited, and I imagine from your input affected by progressions too.

The Moon's Nodes (Real) - In Brief

To Summarise the Moon’s Nodes: The nodal axis represents a polarity between the following: 1.a point of habitual and unconscious behaviour patterns, the South Node. Unconsciously held values which knit one into the collective situation (be they cultural, societal or family values), subjective points...

A Brief Overview

Transits and Complexes The continuing procession of the planets around the zodiac means that we are in a more or less constant state of activation of the complexes which make up the personality. As planets in transit aspect natal planets and pass through houses they indicate much about how life will...

A View of the Planets

The Astrological Complexes Copyright Rodney Ravenswood 2003 The planets and their natures as complex cores can be broken up into the following four groups: i)the Sun and Moon - these are the primary personal planets which, from a geocentric perspective, move in direct relation to the earth. They rep...

Geocentric versus Heliocentric?

Geocentric versus Heliocentric Views of Astrology. Although the heliocentric view of astrology has never really taken a central position it is a significant enough deviation from the traditional view to warrant comment here. Traditionally astrology takes a geocentric point of view, from the proposit...

Astrology - A Tool for Psychological and Spiritual Growth

This is a personal view of astrology as I approach it after many years of work both as a Jungian analyst and psychological astrologer. Astrology is primarily psychological, which is to do with the soul or psyche. It is an inner, intuitive discipline rather than a science in the modern sense. The per...

Re: Synchronicity

Sometimes some very strange things occur, maybe a word, or maybe an image, or something you read and someone says something not only similarly, but exactly. Gives a bit of a spine-chilling feeling. The Jungian Synchronicity, explains it, but, sometimes not enough. It may feel that it's 'important' ...
